Barolo Cannubi

PDF Icon PDF downloaden

Cannubi is known for its unique combination of soil and microclimate, which result in wines that embody the essence of the appellation. The vineyards have favorable exposure, protected from wind and cold, and the soil, which dates back to the Tortonian period, is rich in sand, marl and limestone (Sant’Agata Fossili marl). These elements give Barolo Cannubi extraordinary aromatic intensity and a perfect balance between elegance and power. Cannubi embodies the philosophy of Tenuta Carretta, focusing on the grape, the original vineyard and the specific characteristics of each harvest.

Fermentation with immersed maceration lasts 15-20 days at a temperature of 28°C. After this phase, the wine matures first in oak tonneaux and then in large barrels for at least 24 months. Then the wine is bottled and further aging in bottle follows.

This Barolo has a vibrant and deep garnet red color.

On the nose, the wine reveals aromatic notes of rose and ripe fruit, followed by subtle hints of licorice, cocoa and spice.

On the palate, the wine presents itself with nice balance, structure and elegance.

Serving temperature: 18-20° C
