“We already know a red Camparsi. From the same producer for whom that is his favorite color anyway. See especially the rest of his selection in The Great Hammerma. But that doesn’t mean that he has gone off the rails with white.
Taste, for example, also his great approach to garganega, often quite a dull drink anyway. Even with this trebbiano, a type that nevertheless also prefers lazy to tired, he has managed to get things moving.
In nothing that one-dimensional one-dayer like so many dutiful performances. Sourced from 35-year-old vines, in the vigor of their lives. Rich, ripe, floral and layered. A touch exotic. Spring vegetables and spring flowers Peach and dry almond paste. Red apples, raisin and lime zest.”

In Camparsi, in the municipality of Fumane, Paolo Creazzi is rediscovering a Trebbiano vineyard. This vineyard was owned by his grandfather; in the vineyard, according to tradition, trellises were built. The Trebbiano vines have an average age of 35 years.
The Trebbiano grapes from Ca Dei Maghi’s Camparsi are first picked by hand. Once in the cellar, the grapes are immediately processed using the “cryomaceration” technique. This allows Paolo to bring out the floral olfactory aspect of the vine. In addition, the intensity and complexity of the wine is increased.
The wine is then aged in steel containers for 6 months to increase freshness and drinkability.
In the glass, the Camparsi has a full and brilliant straw yellow color with golden reflections
In the nose, it is intriguing and accompanied by spring notes of boxwood and geranium, which later give way to fruity hints of yellow peach and almond.
The Camparsi arrives in the aftertaste in a decisive, enveloping and dry way on the palate. A wine of beautiful acidity and minerality that dances between structured and fresh notes.
Because of its freshness and pleasant minerals, the Camparsi can be drunk well as an aperitif or with risottos and salads. It is also ideal in combination with starters with fish, shellfish or vegetables.

“Smells nutty, a little like the faint scent of viburnum flowers. Fantastically firm, surprisingly deep and varietal. Cool-ripe fabric of fruit – silvery-green intensity and plush-gold juiciness. Fills every corner
Of the mouth with fine refracted light. Apple sorbet shimmers through the end. Seriously good. Unusual to find a Trebbiano so over-delivered. GV (TC)”
