Dall’Isola I.G.T.

 1.000,00

The vineyards of Dall’Isola (From the Island) are located on the island of Capri off the coast of Naples. This is not the first place you think of for winemaking, but Joaquin began producing wines from vineyards on Capri in 2009. On the island, Joaquin is restoring very old (some pre-philloxera) and forgotten vines. The vineyards consist of a mix of different grape varieties, because people used to want to make sure they could produce wine regardless of the climate. Indeed, in some vintages, certain grapes come into their own better than others. Some of these grapes are native grape varieties from Capri; which, of course, is very special.

Once a day, a pound sails to the island; before the harvest, Joaquin rents this entire pound to have the ability to bring the grapes to their winery. The grapes are first harvested by hand and then brought to the winery. Vinification takes place in steel with light fermentation maceration and further aging in bottle.

Joaquin’s Dall’Isola has a luminous straw yellow color with golden hints. On the nose, the wine has an intense bouquet of flowers and white flesh with notes of peach, apricot and a predominant mineral and citrusy hint.

On the palate, it is aromatic where the aromas of the nose are reflected on the palate. The wine has lively acidity that has a persistent and enveloping length to taste with a well-defined body and structure.

Only 605 bottles were produced for the 2023 vintage.
