Lamo is the only IGT wine produced at Col di Lamo and is composed of Sangiovese (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) grapes from different vintages. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 280 meters above sea level, on a clayey soil rich in calcareous skeleton. Col di Lamo employs the Guyot vine training system. Vinification involves prolonged maceration on the skins, with regular pumping over, at a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius. Aging takes place in small 225-liter French oak barrels for 30 months, followed by further refinement in bottle for 4 months.

The color of this wine is deep ruby red with garnet hues.

The aroma is intense and complex, pleasantly fruity and nicely softened by the barrels in which it was aged.

On the palate, it reveals significant structure, but is generally soft and convincing with a long finish.
