The Riesling is a noble vine, presumably from the Moselle region, found in few areas in Italy. One such area is Alta Langa, where Riesling has been experimentally studied since 1975. Although there has been a demographic decline in the area over the decades, there has been a recent turnaround, thanks in part to the high quality of the wines produced there. The name “Campofranco” recalls this return to viticulture in an area long unused. The Langhe Riesling Campofranco, from grown Rhine Riesling grapes at about 600 meters above sea level in Cissone, Alta Langa, is the result of Tenuta Carretta’s latest wine project. This wine is part of the “etichette d’autore” line, dedicated to the artistic genius of Rosetta Avalle, a local painter and sculptor. The wine reveals a captivating golden yellow color with green nuances and an intense aroma of typical minerality, green apple and dried flowers, accompanied by a spicy finish. On the palate, the wine is remarkably elegant, savory and lively, with beautiful acidity and extraordinary personality. Serving temperature: 10-12° C
