Nizza Riserva Mora di Sassi

The “Mora di Sassi” vineyard is located about 200 meters above sea level in the heart of Nizza DOCG, near Nizza Monferrato, with a perfect southern orientation. Over an area of 3.5 hectares, Barbera vines grow on deep-rooting, calcareous clay soil. This terroir combination produces wines with distinct character and unmistakable opulence.

For vinification, Barbera grapes are carefully selected after the manual harvest. Basic aging takes place for 12 months in small oak barrels, after which the wine goes through at least two more years of bottle aging. This process gives the Mora di Sassi its ripe, complex profile and soft tannins.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color with purple sheen. The bouquet is elegant and broad, with layers of ripe red and black fruits accompanied by subtle hints of spicy vanilla, toasted coffee beans and dark cocoa. On the palate, a velvety, perfectly balanced structure unfolds, with an intense, long and persistent finish that lingers for a long time.

Serving temperature: 16-18 °C.
