Mareneve is the result of an idea as simple as it was daring: planting a vineyard at extreme altitude to investigate how vines respond to cold climates and volcanic soil at high altitude. I have always thought of wine as a living thing: an element that changes to reflect our society and is constantly evolving with it.

Therefore, I decided to try it myself and interpret the vineyard in my own way. My goal was to bridge the gap between tradition and innovation, and to help promote an ancient and irreplaceable craft.

After the grapes are harvested by hand, they undergo spontaneous fermentation in steel vats with native yeasts. There is no malolactic fermentation. The wine then ages for 12 months on fine lees in steel, and finally another 6 months in bottle.

The wine has a bright platinum color with greenish nuances.

The aromas are intense and slightly aromatic, with notes of fresh tropical fruit, pineapple, white peach and lychee. But also white musk, rose, lemon granita, lava stone and salt.

On the palate, the wine is harmonious while at the same time extremely crisp, refined and sharp. These taste sensations evoke the freshness of the snow and the saltiness of the Mediterranean.
