Fermentation takes place in large oak barrels for two weeks, followed by aging in barriques for one year. Then the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and rests in large wooden barrels for another seven months. Finally, the wine matures for 24 months in bottle, unfiltered.
Falkenstein’s pinot noir has refined aromas of wild berries and delicate notes of cherry. On the palate, it is elegant, with finely structured tannins and subtle length.
