The story behind Devinita.
A spontaneous road trip
Devinita was born out of a shared passion for wine and entrepreneurship between Max and Nino, who have known each other since birth and have always been good friends. One day they had the spontaneous idea to go to Italy together for a road trip in search of wine. It was during this adventurous trip that the concept of Devinita was born. Their trip through the beautiful Italian countryside took them to the most enchanting vineyards, where they were inspired by the rich tradition and craftsmanship of the local winemakers. This experience formed the foundation of Devinita, and from there their shared dream of introducing the Netherlands to Italian terroir wines was born.
Oenotria
Italy's rich cultural heritage, warm people and diverse cuisine have always fascinated us. Known as "Oenotria," the land of wine, Italy has a deep-rooted tradition of winemaking that has evolved from separate city-states to a unified nation. The varied terroirs, ranging from coastlines to mountains, contribute to the uniqueness of Italian wines. With the largest number of indigenous grape varieties in the world, Italy offers an unparalleled variety of flavors and aromas, reflecting cultural and terroir diversity in every bottle.
