This refined Langhe Nebbiolo from winery Rivetto comes from vineyards atop the Lirano hill, located between the villages of Sinio and Serralunga d’Alba. Here, on the border of the Barolo region, the grapes are harvested manually in late September to early October.

After destemming and pressing, the wine undergoes a short 2-day cold maceration, followed by fermentation to 30°C in stainless steel tanks. The skin soaking lasts 10 to 15 days, and malolactic fermentation is fully completed. The wine is then aged for 12 months in large Slavonian oak barrels (30 hL).

In the glass, the wine presents itself pure and traditional, with a subtle influence of wood to highlight the fruity expression of Nebbiolo. The structure is elegant, with soft, rounded tannins that make the wine immediately accessible, while still maintaining its characteristic depth.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C

Rivetto

Rivetto is run by Enrico and is the only biodynamic winery in Barolo. Enrico will tell you more about it here: I, Enrico, am a farmer, a basketball fan and a free spirit. I work and live in Lirano, a biodynamic garden in the Langa of Barolo, between the hills of Sinio and Serralunga d’Alba. I grow vines, fruit trees, herbs and grains. I believe that wine is magical because it gives me a chance to be heard. And I can tell people about a new way of looking at the land and how it is worked. A way to sincerely celebrate the beauty and harmony of nature.
