In the CRU vineyards of Cà Dei Maghi, located in Monte Sant'Urbano, grapes thrive under a favorable microclimate and unique terroir characteristics, resulting in harvests that surprise every time. The 2015 Amarone Valpolicella Classico "Canova" is a stunning example of this quality, fulfilling two essential requirements: class and traceability.

The Amarone "Canova" is made from grapes that come from the "Canova" vineyard, carefully picked by hand and then dried for 3 to 4 months. After this process, the wine ages in large wooden barrels for as much as 60 months, with each moment of aging enhancing its character and complexity.

With its ruby red color reminiscent of the light reflections of a pomegranate, the Amarone "Canova" reveals a broad and sophisticated aroma on the nose. Aromatic layers of red fruit infused with spirits, rhubarb, blond tobacco, cinnamon, and subtle hints of kina and chocolate seduce the senses.

On the palate, this Amarone presents itself as an enveloping and structured experience, with tremendous balanced versatility. The taste buds are indulged with an array of flavors, including berries, blackberries and chocolate, making every sip a true delight for any wine lover.

Under the direction of the very talented winemaker Paolo Creazzi, this Amarone from Cà Dei Maghi has received the highest praise. With an impressive score of 95 points and the honorary title of "Best Amarone in tasting" awarded by Decanter, the Amarone Valpolicella Classico "Canova" is a true ambassador of excellence and craftsmanship.

Cà Dei Maghi

Cà Dei Maghi in Valpolicella is an old family business with an enchanting name that means "house of magic" in Italian. Cà Dei Maghi is located on a picturesque hill in the village of Fumane in Valpolicella. Led by Paolo Creazzi, the winery produces mostly famous red wines, including Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone. Noteworthy, however, is also the production of white wines, a rarity in Valpolicella, such as Barabao from the Garganega grape and Camparsi from the Trebbiano. Paolo, in his own unique way, shapes these wines by finding a harmony between tradition and innovation. The results are his unique, highly regarded Valpolicellas, Ripasso's and Amarone's, characterized by their juiciness and clarity. With Paolo, the essence of the grapes is central.
